We had our February meeting Wednesday night. It was pouring out and several members were either under the weather or reluctant to get wet, but we managed to set the exchange themes for our next calendar and get volunteers for several months’ worth of projects. Tange will be contacting everyone about filling in the rest of the calendar.
Our exchange theme this month was “Asian,” but only three cards were exchanged. I’m sensing a trend! Only three last month. Genny’s is first. Sponged on glossy, embossed and laid out in three panels with die cut sentiment.
Mine is next, using Washi paper, red mirror CS and gold embossed sentiment.
Therese had Jeannie bring in her Japanese gazebo scene, also using Washi paper and some fussy cutting on the Geisha. Click on the pic for details and back to return.
Helen had the project this month and we made a cute Valentine using a neat pop-up technique that used strips of acetate sandwiched into the fold, a stamp punch and letters. Turned out really neat. Russel loved his! This technique can be used for all kinds of things to pop up: cupcakes, flowers, snowflakes, etc.
That’s it for this month. Thanks for stopping by.

Love the asian theme. Beautiful colours in Genny's card. Love your washi paper. And what a neat idea with the pop up card!
