We had our third meeting at Hobby Lobby and it looks like it might be working out all right. We have had some shrinkage in our membership and several were unable to attend, but we got a new member, Shannon. Jeannie invited her and she joined that night. Woo hoo!
Our exchange card theme was “How Sweet It Is,” and we got six to trade. First, side by side, Therese’s Brumble’s Bakery with fussy cutting and Helen’s die cut cupcake with lots of bling.
Here is Jeannie’s lacey box of candies. “Friends are the chocolate chips of life!”
Two oldies but goodies, my sweet treat hot air balloon from my stash, and Pam’s fudge sickle. Sweet, indeed.
Tange also used the sweet treat cups and the hot air balloon, filling hers with nonpareils. Yumm.
Ella had the project, making an elegant 4-petal card with rich black and gold papers. I stuck the little scallop with the bow on the back, but that is supposed to be used to keep the card closed.
Here’s the four petals closed on the front.
Here’s what the inside of my project looks like.
Thanks, Ella, for a very rich card with a different fold.
I promised to include some pictures of Jeannie’s new long-haired dachshund puppy, Coffee, so here’s a baby picture Jeannie got from the breeder. Probably six weeks here. So tiny!
Coffee in his bed at home, I think. Eight weeks.
Sniffing in the yard at Jeannie’s. Eight weeks.
Crashed at my house. Doggy day care.
Russel playing with Coffee. So cute!
Thanks for stopping by. Comments always welcome.

Love all your sweet cards! The treat cups are my favourites. I like the petal fold card too. And Coffee... oh how gorgeous!!
It was fun looking at your cards from your fun night at Hobby Lobby. The ladies got very creative with the sweet cards. This was the first time I have seen the nonpariels in the treat cups, that idea is a keeper. I really love your card too with the brightly colored jelly beans in them. I think next Easter, I will have to steal your idea, for my grandsons.
I have to say that Coffee has the prettiest markings ever! Did you say Coffee is a mini? BTW I did tell Greta about Russel playing with that little darling, she was not happy :-). Who can resist a puppy? What a doll.
