Thomasville, GA, Roses

On our mini-vacation, we drove from Tallahassee up to Thomasville, GA, to see the mansions and the Rose Festival.  Turns out that though the brochure said the Festival started on Thursday, April 21, that was the kid’s parade at 7:00 p.m.  So, no festival for us, but Russel drove me to the Rose Garden so I could wander around taking pics.  It was after 5:00 p.m., but the light was just right.

Here’s a pretty two-toned pink.

Pink and White

I’m pretty sure this one is an American Beauty rose.  Gorgeous, deep red.

American Beauty

Yellow on the inside, red on the outside.  Cool!

Bi-colored

This has to be a Peace rose.  Lovely, soft yellow.

Peace

This one is a pinky peach.

Peach 2

This one is another peach, more yellow and orange, like the roses in my wedding bouquet.

Peach

My only problem with Thomasville claiming to be “The Rose City,” is that I have been to the Rose City, Portland, Oregon.  Portland has had a century or so to work on its roses, so give Thomasville some time.  Portland’s roses are mostly tagged, especially in the formal gardens, so you know what kind of rose you are looking at.  Not so, Thomasville.  I could identify two of them, but that’s it.  The rest I just named by their color.

Thanks for stopping by. Comments always welcome.

I'm trying to read as fast as I can while my baby girl busily unpacks the bookcase for me! I adore the red on the outside rose - beautiful!

3 inches screen of Zopo ZAP900h is really
a cool thing about Zopo ZP910 and as it is having a Quad Core processor you should
really check out its features. Altogether, one will find it easy to edit files,
upload them and share them with others, as well as take either single images and
look at them for instant review on the 480 by 360 screen.
Dagar's invention will use quite the same technology.

It is almost like starting from scratch without reformatting the Apple - TV.
s time to prop up the bottom of the Apple
- TV and expose all of its internals. A smooth interface, lots of recommendations,
and even the new Just for Kids section.

Everything seems to have a slightly bluish tinge to it, most noticeable when you're looking at light grey areas. The result is a battery life expectancy of around 8. With built-in Adobe Flash support and a great browser, my children have complete access to their documents, calendars, email, and entertainment.

The only clicks that count toward the monthly totals come from web searches like Google or
from visitors who have clicked on a laptop after visiting our "Notebook Database" or inside our
forums. All the daily soap operas and movies can be seen on
it with utmost perfection because it present videos with
the frequency of 720p, having resolution power as 2048x1536
pixels. This is not only handy for presenting you with updates all in one place but it also merges with all of your contacts and calendars
that are stored within these accounts.

But, with the most recent turn of events,
the i - Phone 5 has made a landmark in the smartphone industry.
Its screen is also a little bit larger than the HTC One's (they're about
equally sharp), it has a micro - SD slot for expandable memory, and it'll be available on Verizon -- the HTC One will not. It runs in very smooth and customized way to keep its users satisfied.
