Creative Images April Meeting

As you all know, I’ve been busy getting ready for my nephew’s wedding in Minnesota for months, now.  Finally down to just the packing, but will take a few minutes to try to get this post done.  After all, I’ll be back just before the May meeting!

Our exchange card theme was “English Garden” and Jeannie did our project.  First up, the exchange cards.  Our newest member, Cheryl B brought in this lovely green card, but once you open it . . .

Here’s my water colored card.

Pat J made this delicate card with really tiny punched flowers.

Pat R did this gorgeous card with vellum and embossed flowers and butterflies.  I have to try this.

Therese water colored these cute potted bunnies and flowers.

Cheryl M did the only card with an actual English garden theme, but we all did flowers, at least!

Edie colored this beautiful vase of flowers.

Helen made this pretty pansy card but . . .

Eleanor did this milkweed.  I think it was made with the faux silk technique.  Beautiful.

Jeannie showed us how to make a project called batik on paper with salt.  Pretty and unique designs great for backgrounds.

Since Jeannie had the project, she brought in a couple of ideas for proposed projects for our January stamp camp.  The first is a picture of what she will make to bring in next meeting, a cool technique with embossing powders.

Her other proposed project is a bound notebook for keeping track of what colors you have.  She admitted it is too complicated for the stamp camp, but she brought it in anyway.

This is a reminder of the sketch card for the May exchange card.

Just because, this is a thank you card I gave Pat R for her online order.

Thank You

That’s it for April.  Tomorrow is May!

Thanks for stopping by.
