We were missing a few ladies last night, but we still had a good bunch of exchange cards, swaps and a project for Halloween. The exchange theme was “Western,” and we all managed something along that line, whether we had any western stamps or not.
We had a couple of Yee Haw cards, but with different sentiments and embellishments. I didn’t examine them close enough, as I was in a hurry, so can’t tell you if they were made with stickers or what. Still cute Western cards. Therese made the first one and Pat R. did the second one.
Ella made this Howdy card, with the Gal’s Night Out inside with some jute rope and cute little boots for embellishments.
Genny made these prettily colored boots, fussy cut them and then added silver glitter to the spurs.
I die cut the feather on the front of my card so the brayered sunset with trees could be seen before opening it. The top picture has much truer colors.
Pat J. die cut all the parts of this cute little guy with her Cricut! Who needs stamps!
Tange made this stylish couple out for a stroll down to the saloon. She antiqued the background with embossing. I like the fussy cutting and her bow bustle.
Next we exchanged our birthday card swaps. Five of us participated. On the left is Tange’s stylish lady in a hat (puts the “fascinators” favored by the current Royals to shame), fussy cut and popped up with interesting wheels behind her. On the right is Genny’s delicately painted, glittered and embossed columbine with butterfly.
Here’s my die cut feathers and spears with shadows sponged under each feather.
Pat J. made this bright die-cut birthday, layering it over some brightly striped DSP. I like how she cut two butterflies and popped the second one up.
Pat R. made this delicately stamped card. It’s much brighter in real life. Love the little bee!
Pat R. also brought in her proposed project for the stamp camp in January, a cute little plastic jewel box calendar.
Pat R. also did the project for September, a cute little Halloween card with stick on labels for the focal point of greeting and spider web. We stamped on the four labels, sponged around the edges and then stuck them to the purple layer on the front. We sponged with gold around the spider web embossed black layer.
That’s it for this month’s meeting. Looking forward to next month’s meeting when challenge is due and the exchange theme is “Bicycles.”
Thanks for stopping by. Comments always welcome.
