It’s been a busy few days since our meeting and I’ve had puter problems. Since Russel fixed my keyboard, I’ve not had time or the weather has been too bad to even have the puters on! So, let’s see how far I get before I run out of steam or the storms arrive.
Our exchange card theme this month was “Victorian,” and we got several cards in that theme and lots more that were close. As our theme is only a guide, no problem. Victorian is really hard. All I knew about it was that it was flowers, ribbons, lace, birdies, whatever, the more the merrier. So, here we go. Click on any card for details, then back to return.
First up is Therese’s framed lady. You’ll see below that she used one of her ATC’s to make this stylish card.
Cami made this elegant anniversary card with the interesting fold and the stylish couple dancing.
Ella made this beautiful lady with lots of coloring, bling and details. Fussy cutting, too!
Jeannie made this gorgeous card. Love the feather on her hat and how all the colors match.
Everything on my card was cut with my new (used) Cricut except the base. Each flower is three layers and I made lots! The “Adore” was a pain to get right! Russel kept making snarky comments about my card as I tinkered with the design, saying it was way too busy, not my usual style. I agree!
Pat J. used her Tim Holz umbrella man die for her vintage card.
Pat R. made this lovely window card, sort of origami like. Pretty paper!
This yummy popsicle is Phyllis’s first exchange card. I could do with an orange popsicle right now!
We had our ATC swap at the meeting. The first one is Therese’s framed lady and the second is Jeannie’s cute little giraffe.
I had lots of Cricut flower pieces left over after my card and cut some more to make enough flowers for six ATC’s. Been having fun with my Cricut.
Pat J. made this bright sun ATC. I think she used glossy paper and did lots of interesting things to it before stamping on it.
Pat J. had the project this month. She gave us the light-weight card stock and the embossed Michael Strong cloisonné hearts to make our cards. Here’s the sample of the one we made. Closed . . .
and opened.
Here’s two more samples.
Since Pat J. had the project, she brought in her proposed stamp camp project. Pat says the little boxes are easy to make and the slices can be embellished as much or as little as one wants.
Here’s a detail of one “slice.” You can see how the box opens on the back to stick in whatever favor, prize, etc. you might want.
Whether we vote on doing it in January or not, I’m pretty sure I’ll be making a cake like this for my sister’s wedding shower she’s giving for her future daughter in law.
Last, but not least, Cami brought in this cute Halloween card as a show and tell. She knows someone going to give a class on how to make it. Cute, die cut fence to top it off.
That’s it for this month’s meeting. Thanks for stopping by. Comments always welcome.
